SAVED BY GOD'S MERCY
I am so Grateful to God for using me in this huge testimony. As Manager of the North Roscommon Divisional Senior Gaelic Football Team 2 years ago I met Chris. As this was a new Initiative in the County, there were 7 clubs that I was in charge of selecting players that would represent these clubs in the highest grade in the County Senior Club Football. At one stage Chris said to me “whatever you’re doing bottle it because it is fantastic".
Chris got ill 6 months ago and was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I had spoken to him on the phone and he was a broken man. I started sending him scriptures about Gods Mercy, He was transferred to the Roscommon Hospice to die. I pleaded with God to let me see him. One morning the Holy Spirit nudged me to phone the hospital to see if I could see Chris. I had learned that Chris was an alcoholic and had split from his family 15 years ago, only his sister and brothers were speaking to him. He was off the drink for a good while.
I got in to see Chris and his sister in the hospital and presented him with our club Jersey with his name on it. His sister left the room as she said we would have a lot to talk about. I plucked up the courage and asked Chris if he would like to get to heaven and he said he would so I explained that if he gave his life to Jesus that he would go to heaven. So by God's almighty mercy he gave his life to Jesus. Chris broke down crying and told me his whole life story, and made this comment to me. “I had 2 priests in here to see me and they never said anything like what you said to me, Peter you will always be welcome to see me” That was the last time I saw Chris. To God be all the Glory Amen.

GIVING THANKS TO GOD FOR HIS FAITHFULNESS
I will like to say a big thank you to the Most High for adding another year to my daughter, son and husband. I would also like to say thank you Jesus for helping me pass my full licence after two attempts, it was such a relieve, it can only be God. Also thanking God for Zachary as he started primary school this August.

INTERVENTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN MY EXAM
This past year has been quite good for me academically except in the case of one particular module that I was battling with the entire year. When the time came for the exam it was evident that the preparation I did was not enough and I ended up failing the exam. I was not too worried though because I knew I still had the opportunity to retake the exam. I did my preparations and the time to take the retake arrived. I went into the exam hall and wrote the exam to the best of my ability, but upon leaving the hall I felt unsettled in my spirit and I had the feeling that I didn’t pass. Lo and behold, the results came out and I was right. But I had this assuredness from God that I was going to pass regardless and so I held onto that.
The next retake would be the last opportunity for me to pass otherwise I’d have to repeat the module. It is also in the form of an oral exam one on one with the head professor. I studied day and night to make sure I would pass and upon going into the exam and being asked questions, as I would start to answer them, the professor would jump in and finish the answers for me resulting in me passing and passing well. It could only be the intervention of the Holy Spirit and to the glory of God I’m about to start my fifth year of medical school. Praise God.
